Meet the Counselor!

Hello! My name is Nicole Garcia and I am the School Counselor at Desert Willow Family School. I'm happy to be back at DWFS for another school year. I have a Master's Degree in School Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University and currently hold a School Counselor license from the State of New Mexico. I have worked in the education and mental health field for several years. I look forward to working with all of the students and families at DWFS!

What services and programs am I trained to offer?

  • Provide academic support including organizational, study and test-taking skills
  • Goal setting and decision making
  • Transition plans
  • Collaboration and consultation with parents, teachers and staff to identify and remove barriers to learning
