Annual Family School Traditions
Our major community events (all long-standing Family School traditions) include the following:
- Fall Square Dance
An old-fashioned community square dance with a professional caller, treats, and fun galore—a great way to welcome fall and celebrate the start of the school year
- Used Book Sale
Our “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” school fundraiser, where we resell books for all ages, along with DVDs, games, and educational toys
- Art and Poetry Night
Our beautiful “Open House” evening celebrates weeks-long work in the classrooms. Teachers and parent volunteers transform classrooms into art galleries displaying amazing student talent. Fundraising is accomplished through art/poetry auctions and baked goods/hot beverage sales.
- Spring Auction
A spring social and fundraising event, which usually includes a silent and live auction
- Inquiry Fair Hospitality Day
A new tradition! Come have a treat while you cart boards, charts, rocks, fish, catapults, etc. into the classroom.
